Dear All,
My name is Bertha Wise and my friend Nina brought me over to show me what you all had planned. I don't teach ESL or languages, but I do teach literature, humanities and ethics and I used to teach English composition courses at a community college in Oklahoma City. I visited Ukraine one year to participate in a two-week teachers' training, and I may have met you there. Poetry is also a favorite pasttime of mine! I wish you the best in your conference and hope everyone learns a great deal. |

Dear Participants,
My name is Sally La Luzerne-Oi. I'm very happy to take part in this online conference. I've been teaching languages for 30 years. One of those years 1995-96 and several summers were spent teaching in Ukraine. In fact, my 1995-96 academic year was at VSPU! I'm currently on a leave of absence from my position as Assistant Professor of English at Hawai'i Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Best wishes for an invigorating conference! |
